We just returned from our first road trip in the CX-5.  The pictures are from the return trip as the first leg didn’t allow for dawdling. We were visiting my mother who was seriously ill in the hospital.  Happily, she is recovering.

On the way home, we stopped in St Charles, ostensibly to check out the Katy Trail facilities, but for David, it was Katy Railroad artifacts. St Charles was the first Missouri settlement and was the first Missouri capital. It has historic buildings, restaurants, shops, a bike shop/cafe, a Carlson hotel, small inns and B&Bs, and Katy Trail facilities.

Booneville is also a Katy Trail stop. The trail runs right across the restored Railroad Station platform. The station houses the chamber of Commerce and (soon) a bike shop.
